Holly and Dylan celebrated their wedding surrounded by family and friends on a beautiful rural property in Jambin, just outside of Biloela. Their ceremony took place beneath a lone tree on the property, creating a simple and meaningful setting that suited their country wedding perfectly.
These two have a history that goes all the way back to their school days. They first met through a mutual friend and often ended up sitting together on the school bus. One day that same friend encouraged Dylan to ask Holly out, and on Valentine’s Day in 2018 he did exactly that. It was the beginning of a classic high school sweetheart story.
Their relationship grew through lunch breaks together, time spent after school and fitting each other in around sporting commitments. Over the years their connection only grew stronger, and today they are building a beautiful life together with their daughter Ally.
Their wedding day felt like a celebration not only of their relationship but also of the life they have already created as a family.
The ceremony beneath the lone tree was heartfelt and full of emotion, surrounded by the wide open landscape that makes country weddings so special. After the ceremony we wandered the property for portraits while guests began making their way to the reception at the Star Bar.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came during portraits when Holly surprised Dylan with an incredible wedding gift. While we were taking photos, Holly’s dad rode a brand new motorbike into the property. Holly had organised the surprise for Dylan as his wedding present, and the look on his face when he realised what was happening was unforgettable.
The celebrations continued at the Star Bar where everyone gathered to share food, speeches and plenty of laughter as the evening unfolded.
Holly and Dylan’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of their story. A day filled with family, heartfelt moments and a celebration of everything they have built together.
